This hole is a gentle introduction to the course as its generous landing area off the tee will help to ease most players into their round. The hole shapes from right to left for most of its length before easing itself back to the right so that the green can nestle behind a large mound on the right hand side of the fairway. Hole 1 Flyover
The par 4 second hole is a teasing hole that offers a birdie opportunity. A drive to the right side of the fairway will leave a mid to short iron to the green and a welcome birdie chance. Hole 2 Flyover
The third hole is a really strong par 3. Playing from an open tee to a slightly elevated, well bunkered green, this hole will challenge even the best of players to find the green. Shots that favour the right hand side of the green offer the best chance of a par as any shot that misses to the left of the green will find recovery more difficult. Hole 3 Flyover
The fourth hole is a strong Par 4 which has earned its low stroke index. The tee shot will need to be aimed at the left side of the clubhouse that sits behind the green, and with a ball safely on the fairway it will set up an easy approach to this well guarded green. Hole 4 Flyover
The fifth hole is a cleverly designed hole that disguises with some ease the dangers of both the nearby out of bounds and the narrow approach in to the green. A seemingly straightforward hole it will take two accurate shots to secure a par 4. Hole 5 Flyover
The sixth hole is a very interesting Par 3 to a raised green. The close proximity of the out of bounds area to the right hand side of the green makes this a demanding tee shot in any wind conditions. This well protected green also slopes severely from front to back which makes positioning the tee shot below the flagstick a must. Hole 6 Flyover
The seventh hole is surely one of the strongest Par 4’s in North County Dublin. This long demanding hole requires an accurate drive to the right hand side of the fairway in order to set up a shot to the semi blind green. To play this hole in par is a delight whatever your handicap. Hole 7 Flyover
The eighth hole helps to balance the first 9 holes perfectly. Any tee shot that finds the left hand side of the fairway will open up the two-tier green and make a comfortable par a real possibility. Hole 8 Flyover
The ninth hole is a good closing hole to the first nine. A good long tee shot to the left hand side of the fairway will open up the well defended green. Hole 9 Flyover
The tenth hole is an interesting par 3 for a links course as the approach to the green must carry a substantial water hazard. The variation in winds that can affect the course will have you hitting a different club to this hole every time you play it. Hole 10 Flyover
The eleventh hole is a good par 5 that requires three well executed shots to find the elevated green. The ideal tee shot is a strong draw that will set up an easier second shot to the left half of the fairway. The 3rd shot approach is one of the most challenging on the course as only a perfectly executed shot can hope to settle by the flag. Hole 11 Flyover
The twelfth hole is a powerful par 4 that will need both length and accuracy to tame it. A drive to the left side of the fairway will allow for a high accurate iron shot to this superbly defended green. Hole 12 Flyover
The thirteenth hole is a comfortable three shot Par 5 that everyone will hope to play well. An inviting fairway off the tee, a generous landing area for the second shot and a large green for the third shot. But please beware the out of bounds which is very close to the back of the green, so anything too strong can lead to disappointments. Hole 13 Flyover
The fourteenth hole is a deceptively difficult par 4. An accurate tee shot to a well defended fairway will leave a visually challenging shot to a semi blind green. Most first time players will often come up short of the green as some 15 yards of fairway approach is hidden from the player. Hole 14 Flyover
The fifteenth hole is a strong par 4 that opens with a semi blind tee shot, and finishes with an approach to a well guarded green. A tee shot that favours the right hand side of the fairway will help to open up the green but unless the tee shot is very long it is unlikely you will great a straight shot at the flag. Hole 15 Flyover
The sixteenth hole is a par 4 that is a real birdie opportunity, but only if you first hit the fairway. The second shot is still tricky as the green is strategically raised in the middle to offer any number of challenging pin positions. Hole 16 Flyover
The seventeenth hole is a great final par 3 as it offers the player the chance to score everything from a birdie to a double bogey. The green nestles between the dunes and from the elevated tee it looks an inviting tee shot, but a wayward shot will make securing a par a real test. Hole 17 Flyover
The eighteenth hole is a truly delightful finishing hole that offers choices all the way from the tee to the green. The fairway is divided by a mound and offers two landing areas, left for safety, right for a chance of a birdie. From the left side of the fairway the approach will need to be shaped to find the flag, yet from the right side of the fairway the approach can be made directly to the flag wherever it is positioned.
